The blog has been neglected, but there is SO much to come soon. I’ll be updating like crazy. I have a ton to share, lots of new ideas, and an amazing opportunity on the horizon. Watch for all the new stuff to come! And remember to check back often. You never know when it might pay off!

In the mean time I would like to introduce baby L. I got to venture out to the Chicago-land Western Suburbs for this newborn session and when I saw little miss L my mouth dropped.  Now I have been around newborns for a while but when they are 4lbs 11ounces you just forget how tiny they can be.  Little L was the smallest baby I have photographed so far (she could not fit most of my hats because she was so small).   She reminded me of my littlest peanut so much that I wanted to put her in my pocket!  Mom and I had a lot in common and we had a great time talking and getting this peanut ready for her debut photo session.

You know when you meet people, and things just click?  That’s how it was with this session.  Seriously Mom, Dad, and the whole family were so incredibly cool and laid back and fun!   They were referred to me from a friend  (love referrals!!)   and I am SO happy to now have them as clients.  Kudos for having me over within the first week (it is the absolute BEST time for a newborn sessions – Baby E  barely woke up or even seemed to notice anything I was doing to him!).  Thank you mom and dad for choosing me to capture your baby boys first days of life.   I hope you enjoy your photos!

Since one of my goals this month is to get back to running I think its time to refresh my playlist. I find that I am much more motivated to run if I have my music plugged in to my ears.  Music motivates me,  gets my heart pumping,  and inspires me to keep going! But I must admit that my playlist right now is pretty old and needs to be refreshed.  So what’s on my playlist right now?  Beyonce,  Lady Gaga, Nas, Maroon 5, Bob Marley……Those aren’t all of them, but most of my favorites.

I am loving newborns lately!  This little girl was pure perfection. Miss A was a couple of days old when I had a chance to photograph her at her home in Chicago, Illinois.  She wanted to stay awake at first but after a while she was in dreamland.   Congrats to the C family! I look forward to watching this gorgeous baby grow up! Thanks for having me over!

I hope everyone enjoys the weekend!  Just a quick note about my summer schedule.  Because my kids are home for the summer my time for sessions are limited.  I am only booking 1 session during the weekdays and 2 weekends a month until my kiddos are back to school in September.   So please book in advance to ensure you have a session with me.  Remember they are only this little for so long!

One thing we love to see at Clare Reed Photography is the fab products our clients get! When the UPS man delivers packages its like Christmas for this photog! When I first started photography I became obsessed with all the great products out there that can be done with my photographs. Albums, cards, prints, canvases the options are endless. Seeing your photos on your computer screen is one thing but seeing it blown up on a 30 x 20 canvas on your wall is another! Because you can get overwhelmed with the choices that are out there we have narrowed down the option to what we think are the best choices for our digital packages. I want my clients to have only the best when it comes to their images so I thought it would be a great idea to occasionally highlight a product on my blog. I hope you like them!

First up is our custom-designed CD case. Since all my are packages are digital based I think its a great place to start. This case and CD is personalized base on your session and is pretty darn fab if I must say so myself! I think this case will look great in Miss A’s nursery don’t you think!

Hello and happy new year (I know I’m a little late)!  Well its been a pretty busy winter for my family so far but now its time to get back to business!  Lots of things coming up that I am excited to post about soon. Currently I am starting to plan my littlest peanut’s first birthday party (can’t believe how quickly this has happened) and came across this picture of Reese when she was just days old. She will be 1 in less than two weeks. Where does time go?!?!

My little stinkers yesterday for Halloween.   This year Halloween was party central for us!  3 Halloween parties and trick or treating= 2 tired parents.  Hope you had as much fun as they did!
